Run by the Cova family since 1895, the Hotel Falken is the most historic hotel in Wengen. This welcoming hotel is set in a quiet garden just above the resort centre. The hotel enjoys fantastic views of the village, the Lauterbrunnen valley and the stunning Jungfrau. The bedrooms beautifully retain the traditional features and style.

Meals are taken in the elegant dining room with large windows overlooking the grounds. The day will start with a hot and cold buffet breakfast. In the evenings, enjoy a delicious 4-course evening meal and be sure not to miss the weekly famous Falken buffet. for something different, book a raclette or fondue meal with the hotel.

Wengen and neighbouring Grindelwald cover 214km of pistes that cater for a range of abilities, but it’s particularly suited to intermediate skiers and progressing beginners. Steeped in skiing history, Wengen was one of the first popular resorts for British and Irish skiers and is accessed by scenic mountain railway. Its unique, laid-back village atmosphere and traditional chalet-style buildings give it bags of character. And there’s plenty to offer off the slopes, like snow activities and Europe’s highest railway station and beautiful ice palace – making it a firm favourite with families and mixed groups. Easy to Change : If Guests want to change the holiday dates or accommodation after they have booked, it’s easy to do by giving us a call. Guests can change the booking fee-free up to 12 weeks before the departure date as standard if Guests flying with TUI Airways (terms and conditions apply). And for bookings between December 2021 and April 2022, you can change fee-free up to 28 days before your departure. 

If Guests holiday has to be cancelled for reasons relating to COVID-19, Guests will get a full cash refund for the amount you paid.

The Crystal Snow Promise : Crystal Ski holidays also got your back if the weather’s not right while guests away. Crystal Snow Promise means that if guests can’t ski in their resort because there’s no snow, Crystal Ski holidays will do the best to arrange for guests to ski somewhere else instead. And Crystal Ski holidays will give guests a full refund of the lift pass if guests can’t ski – (T&Cs apply).

Safety Advice : 

Balconies

Safety standards for balconies and public walkways are different in Switzerland – the railings may be lower and they could have ornamental features you wouldn’t see in the UK or Ireland. Please take extra care on or around them, and make sure children aged under 12 years are always supervised.
