Enjoy time in York and visit the St. Nicholas Christmas Festival and enjoy a spot of shopping in the famous Shambles. Head to the Dickensian Festival in Grassington for a real taste of festive history, and don’t forget the impressive Christkindlmarkt in Leeds city centre for a real Bavarian treat right in the heart of Yorkshire.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1 - Leeds Christkindlmarkt

Regional departure by coach, then to Leeds for the Christkindlmarkt, as over 40 traders from the German city of Frankfurt set up stalls. Unique gifts, hand-crafted jewellery and toys and traditional German delicacies including stollen, bratwurst, gingerbread and glühwein are available. Continue to our hotel in West Yorkshire for a three-night stay.

Day 2 - Skipton, plus Grassington Dickensian Festival

Included excursion to Skipton, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. We then continue to Grassington whose Dickensian Festival features traditional entertainment, craft stalls, musicians, dancers and street entertainers in the pretty village square.

Meals: Breakfast

Day 3 - St. Nicholas Christmas Festival, York

Included excursion to York. The annual Christmas Fayre, set in the historic square, has continued since medieval times. The city comes alive with Victorian costumed traders, carol singers and delicious smells of roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate laced with brandy.
