DAY 1

Zurich

Fly from the UK to Zurich this morning, and check in for an overnight stay at your hotel. Maybe peruse the shops along the Bahnhofstrasse, famed as one of the most attractive shopping streets in the world or marvel at the works of Van Gogh, Rodin and Monet at the much-loved Kunsthaus art gallery. Alternatively, you may wish to learn about the history of Switzerland at the Landesmuseum (Overnight in Zurich)

DAY 2

Arlberg Pass To Innsbruck

After breakfast this morning, take the train through the Swiss and Austrian Alps over the Arlberg Pass. This spectacular journey leaves Zurich, travelling along the bank of Lake Zurich before you are greeted with spectacular Alpine scenery. You briefly pass through Liechtenstein before entering Austria. Travel along the Arlberg Pass, through mountain meadows and be delighted at every turn by the wonderful vistas. Upon arrival, check in for an overnight stay at your hotel. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Innsbruck has gained a reputation as an impressive Austrian holiday destination due to its fantastic winter sporting events and impressive historical monuments. Visit the Hofkirche Innsbruck or the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), both popular landmarks dedicated to Maximilian I, before indulging in some local cuisine such as Speckknödel and Apfelstrudel. DAY 3

Innsbruck To Vienna

After breakfast, travel by train to Vienna. On arrival, check in for a two-night stay at your hotel. Enjoy time at leisure to explore the sights of Vienna. Stretch your legs with a wander around some of the city's highlights such as the Anchor Clock, the prestigious Opera House and the Hofburg, Vienna's Imperial Palace. Spend the evening indulging in some Austrian cuisine, such as the Wiener Schnitzel and Sachertorte - a delicious chocolate cream cake. (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 4

Vienna

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and begin another day of exploration. Use your one-day city card to see the top attractions at your own pace then why not catch an opera or concert at Vienna's celebrated buildings dedicated to the world of music. With over 500 concerts a year at Musikverein (Vienna's concert hall) there will surely be something for every taste! (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 5

Vienna To The UK

After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and make your way to the airport for your flight back to the UK. Prefer to travel home by train via Cologne? One of our Rail Consultants would be happy to make these arrangements for you. B
