About Les Arcs :

Variety is the key to Les Arcs’ popularity. There’s everything from tree-lined trails to open, bowl-shaped slopes and an excellent snow park – so you’ll have tons to keep you going, whatever your ability. Each village has a beginner zone and easy blues for learners to progress to. Intermediates should head to Peisey-Vallandry for fast cruising on reds, while experts tackle mogul-covered black runs on the Glacier du Varet. To stretch your legs even further, catch the cable car over to La Plagne to explore the other half of the 425km Paradiski area.

The resort’s split into several ski-in, ski-out villages. Arc 1600 was the first of the bunch, and is still the quietest so it’s a favourite for families. Après fans can party in the best bars in Arc 1800, and for quick access to the glacier, stay in the highest village, Arc 2000. If you prefer somewhere with a more traditional look, pick Arc 1950. It’s the newest but has wooden buildings, a central square and high-quality places to stay.

When you’re not schussing down the slopes, keep things cool with a visit to France’s biggest Igloo Village in Arc 1950, where you can see sculptures carved from snow and sip a frosty drink in the ice bar. Or if you’ve got kids, whizz down water slides and splash in swimming pools at the Mile8 leisure centre in Arc 1800.
