Explore more on this immersive Norway cruise.
Your voyage begins in the delightful city of Dublin. Visit elegant galleries and unparalleled shops, soak in the culture at historical sites, and get a taste of the best pubs worldwide. Then, you’ll spend two blissful days at sea, giving you the chance to indulge in specialty dining and a collection of fine wines.
Next, we dive into 11 stunning Norwegian ports, starting with the first of three late stays in Alesund, where you can discover endless Art Nouveau architecture. In the small, intimate town of Kristiansund, take a drive along the Atlantic Ocean Road. This unique stretch of road takes you right out to the ocean’s edge, running across an archipelago of small islands and islets. In Trondheim, make your way to the historic Bakklandet neighborhood to see 17th century working-class homes that have been restored and transformed into trendy shops, and bars and restaurants specializing in local cuisine.
In Molde, more stunning scenes await along the Trollstigen, with 11 sharp twists, turns and switchbacks, the Troll Road climbs nearly 3,000 feet up the side of the mountain. Olden is your gateway to a world of towering glaciers, cascading waterfalls, and deep mountain valleys. Along the coast in picture-perfect Vik, you’ll find Fridtjov Park, a peaceful place that offers incredible views of the Sognefjord and is home to an 85-foot tall statue of the viking known as Fridtjov the Bold.
On a late stay in Haugesund, crowned the birthplace of Norway by Viking King Harald Fairhair in the 9th century, explore what is now one of Norway’s principal culture centers. This quiet little hamlet of Eidfjord is dwarfed by the outsized scenery that surrounds it: steep fjord walls, sparkling crystalline glaciers, and foaming waterfalls. Next, a late stay in Stavanger means more time to pop into trendy cafés, meander along ancient cobblestone walkways and rows of 18th-century whitewashed wooden houses, or take a helicopter ride high above the impressive Pulpit Rock.
Settled around 400 AD, Kristiansand’s atmosphere perfectly blends old and new. Sample local brew and feast on the freshest seafood at the very picturesque and inviting “Fiskebrygga” fish market. Your voyage wraps up with an overnight in Oslo, where Viking influences can still be spotted amongst contemporary design and architecture, such as the striking Opera House.
